Meet our Founder

Hi, I’m Kate! I’m passionate about supporting kids’ learning at home, and I created ConnectEDKid in an effort to make it easier to discuss media with your kids.

I received my M.S. in an educational technology program from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education, where I focused my studies around early childhood education and technology for kids. I care deeply about supporting young kids’ learning in out-of-school environments, and I’ve worked on a variety of projects related to education at home and in other settings like museums.

In addition to education, I’m also passionate about the research process and leveraging research to make people’s lives better. I’ve worked on research projects for edtech companies from small startups to larger companies like Coursera, and research is at the heart of everything we do at ConnectEDKid.

When COVID-19 hit, I heard from so many parents about their struggles with screen time and school closures. I started ConnectEDKid to make it easier for parents to connect with their kids around media and support their learning at home, and I offer you a warm welcome to our community!
